Screening
What
is it?
An electronic screening that
matches your institutions records with the most comprehensive database
of matching gift companies. The
service flags all records with match potential.
The service makes possible a comprehensive matching
gift fulfillment program performed in-house or outsourced to MCR.
How does it work?
You provide an
electronic file containing the following data for all constituents for
whom you
have employment information:
- Constituent
ID
Number
- Employer Name
- Home State of Constituent
- Amount of Last
Donation (blank if non-donor)
- Date of Last
Donation (blank if non-donor)
- Matching
Gift
Eligible Flag (Yes or No based on what you know without
completing this
screening)
Your
file will be processed using both automated software and a manual
review. The
screening will match employer names, and any
abbreviations or commonly used term such as IBM
or Int'l Business Machines. We
will append to each individual record, information
on their employer's match program including minimum gift, maximum gift,
gift
ratio, contact person, matching gift form URL (if available) and much
more.
What are the benefits of a
typical
screening?
Use
of returned data makes it possible for your organization to isolate
available
match potential for collection. Usually
between five and fifteen percent of individuals are match eligible. Most non-profits discover
that they are
collecting less than forty percent of their match potential. You will save time and
